England's limited overs captain Eoin Morgan admitted that he
had got good opportunities in Test cricket but it was not good to pay cash on
it. In 16 Tests, 32-year-old managed to score just 700 runs out of an average
of 30.43
Morgan told ESPNcricinfo, "I had a chance to play Test
cricket. I played in a very good team, Andrew Strauss as an extraordinary
captain, in a very good environment."
"I think there are a lot of people who come in Test
match cricket and do not make maximum opportunities and sometimes look back and
want to be part of a better team or more detail or disciplined team.
"There is always a different aspect because it is a
failure in a way. I think it is difficult for people to say that they were not
very good and I do not think I was."
England recently defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 and did so by
playing a positive brand of cricket - the brand which has convinced limited
overs of England to be the most dominant and entertaining unit in recent times.
Morgan, however, does not want to take any credit and said that the England
Test team's approach was more root-ask.
Morgan said, "I'm not sure (if England's Test approach
has been affected by Morgan's one-day team), Joey can only answer whether there
are people playing in the team or not."
"One thing I especially look at on this tour, where
people had won 3-0 and it was incredible to see that they are playing with
clarity and the way they want. That they are playing, the way of the route and
everyone along the way of the team. To see that it is wonderful to see as a
fan. "
Although he failed in red-ball cricket, but Morgan brought
England to new heights in colorful clothing. England has now won nine
consecutive multi-sport bilateral series and will go as favorites to the
domestic World Cup 2019, from which Morgan has approved.
“Next year, at the moment we are favourites, so presuming
nothing goes horrifically wrong between now and the start of the World Cup,
that will probably stay the same,” he said.
"World Cup history tells you that to be in the World Cup,
you have to be ranked in the top three or four in the world to be a real
contender, so you probably have to consider the top three or four, and then you
might throw Pakistan there. Be given, because on their day they can beat any
team.
"I think going to the Champions Trophy as a favorite
was a different aspect of our game that we needed to work. We were not very
good in that tournament; we ran a very good Pakistan team."

50-over format and Morgan believes that they are only capable of achieving that

mind-boggling and its credit goes to the team," he said. "We are
always a tight unit and since the summer of 2015, what we have tried to do is
true for our principles. We have always tried to push forward our borders, we
have never resisted is." Try and decide what we are trying to do.
"We aspire to the best editions of ourselves that we
may be possible and people are actually doing it and that has worked,
especially with our batting. I think in the last year and one half Our bowling
